Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist
4-6 month contract position

We are a progressive company supplying chemicals, delivery systems and expertise to improve the environment and assist customers in creating new offerings. We seek a strong Accounts Payable Associate to join our team for approximately a six contract position.

Summary of Work Performed:
This position will support the accounting department in the following areas:
* Enter vendor invoices in accurate and timely manner
* Verify the appropriateness of the general ledger account coding on invoices
* Verify the accuracy of sales/use tax due on invoices and process information for the Capital Equipment Refund Claim
* Match vendor invoices to purchase orders
* Process check runs
* Assist with vendor inquiries
* Resolve invoice discrepancies with the purchasing department
* Maintain vendor files
* File Accounts Payable checks
* Open and sort incoming Accounts Payable mail
* Other tasks or projects as needed to support the accounting department
Minimum Qualifications:
* 2 or more years of post high school education or the equivalent in related work experience.
* Detail oriented and a team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience with JD Edwards/Peoplesoft software a plus.
