Onsite High School Social Studies Editorial Content Manager

An Onsite High School Social Studies Editorial Content Manager at Quarasan must direct the overall scope of a project/product, write project guidelines for outside writers and editors to develop content for online, mixed media and manuscript delivery. He or she will manage projects and people independently while managing client relationships. The Onsite High School Social Studies Editorial Content Manager oversees editorial content integrity and ensures that projects are resourced with appropriate internal and external resources including writers, editors, proofreaders, copyeditors, etc. Motivating others, managing schedules, and delivering resources for teachers and state-of-the art learning for students in high school social studies will allow the successful candidate to impact the program. This position is a unique blend of activities for the right individual. Bring your content expertise, add your creativity, and make a strategic impact! Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Education, History, Political Science, or related fields
* Minimum ten years of publishing experience, preferably in educational publishing.
* Minimum four to five years management experience leading/supervising a team of internal or external resources.
* Proven expertise in Social Studies content essential. Must also be able to oversee other content areas.
* Superior project management skills; experience managing large projects and teams independently.
* Must be located in Chicago and willing to work onsite in our River North offices.
